“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” (1 Tim 4:12)
In his first letter to Timothy, Paul says “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” (1 Tim 4:12) What a great challenge and awesome responsibility that is for young people in the church, as well as a constant reminder to be more like Christ each day in our thoughts, attitudes, and actions. Our desire for the Grace Church youth group is that we truly love God and serve Him with all of our hearts, minds and strength (Mk 10:30) as we grow and develop into the young men and women He wants us to be.
Sunday School for Youth
Sunday morning for Grace Church youth, grades 6-12, is an equipping hour where we focus on various topics that are important to young people. We seek to understand ourselves and the world around us in light of God’s great gospel. Recent topics include the following: Worldview, History of Redemption, Wisdom and Dating, Systematic Theology.
Wednesday Night Youth Group (6th-12th Grade)
Come join us on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:00 pm, September - May, as High School students meet together for an exciting time of games, worship, prayer, and Bible Study – and be challenged with us to be faithful in your walk with the Lord!
The Youth Group worships together at the beginning of their meetings and then divides into two groups - Jr High (6th - 8th) and Sr High (9th - 12th) - for Bible Study and prayer.
We are a lively bunch that has fun whatever we are doing, whether helping someone out in the church or just hanging out. Last year some of our activities included leaf-raking for the elderly, outings to the civic center for concerts, hiking, rafting, serving on local ministries, a lock-in, and much, much, more.
